Advanced Sailors Week

Advanced Sailors Week is designed for sailors with at least two years of sailing experience, ages 12 to 17, who want to improve their racing skills and have the opportunity to participate in a regional regatta.  The focus of this week will include racing strategy and tactics, flying spinnakers, advanced boat handling such as roll tacks, roll gybes, sailing backward, and maintaining the boat in a stalled position — as when on a starting line.  If possible, there will be a regatta on the last day and we will take interested sailors who attend this advanced week to the interclub races the following week. Please consult with head instructor to ensure your sailor is ready for this course.
