Welcome to SSA! We are currently planning our 75th season (summer 2022) of instilling the love of sailing in kids and adults. We strive not only to teach our students how to sail, but also to cultivate a sense of responsibility that will keep Seneca Lake a place that all can enjoy.

Hi everyone! Registration is open! Assuming no major pandemic problems, we will be offering a full summer of sailing instruction and fun. Sailing camp opportunities will begin June 27 with Adventure week for kids with experience (or starting sailors 9 and older). The following session, starting July 5, will be Opti Week for beginning sailors aged 7-8. The remaining sessions will include more Adventure Weeks, another Opti Week, a Splash, Paddle, and Sail week working with community partners, and an Advanced Sailor’s Week. Right now we anticipate instruction will continue through the week August 15th, with a possible extension through the week of August 22. Again, stay tuned throughout the spring. Please see our instructional pages for more information about the nature of these offerings and we will continue to update as we get closer to the start of the season.

FIRST SAIL opportunities! Not sure if sailing is for you?  Most Geneva residents have never been on a sailboat! Now’s your chance to hop on for a few minutes and give it a try.  Learn more about our “First Sail” at the Farmers Market. Scroll down for more info!

Our summer 2021 season was a great success, in spite of the restrictions placed on us by the pandemic. We safely hosted over 70 sailors, both kids and adults. We trained adult sailors in some pretty exciting conditions. And we had a blast doing it. Check our Gallery Page for a taste of the summer and the awards ceremony.

Finally, you can also visit our Donation page to think about how you can help us continue to bring sailing, the outdoors, and a love of this beautiful place together for you and for our community. Thanks for visiting!
